Athletic Sound Halden

Athletic Sound was established in 1983 by Kai Andersen.
The studio is located in Halden, a small quiet city 120 km outside Oslo, and only 5 km from the Swedish border.
The studio is situated in an 18th century building, which in the early days was a gym.
The building has seen a steady stream of internal changes and improvements over the years, and offers comfortable surroundings for the studio.

 Kai Andersen, the owner of the studio has produced and/or engineered hundreds of independent and major acts. A lot of the albums have reached gold and platinum, as well as receiving Norwegian "grammys".

The philosophy of the studio is based on traditional analogue values, build around a NEVE v1 48 channel console, with an impressive selection of microphones, preamps, etc. See the equipment list for further info.
